Struggle with your balance in your yoga practice or everyday life? This workshop will teach you the key principles used to create more stability for better balance. Balance in yoga postures can be made easier (or harder) when you understand how to manipulate different variables that influence your stability. The workshop will include a short lecture on what can influence your balance abilities (come prepared to learn basic concepts in physics and the vestibular system). In addition, we will practice a series of exercises to help you build strength for better balance and experiment with the concepts covered in the lecture. This workshop is great for those who practice/teach yoga or those wanting to find more stability in daily activities. About the Instructor:
Christine is passionate about helping others move pain free and reach their movement goals. She has her PhD in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biomechanics; is a licensed Athletic Trainer who has worked with athletes, performers, and physically active individuals between the ages of 5-85+; and is a 300 hour trained yoga instructor with 7 years of teaching experience all levels. When she isn’t working in her business (Movement ATtention LLC), you can find her somewhere outside hiking, paddle boarding, practicing yoga, reading, or on an adventure.
