Arielle Wortzel & Kaitlyn CroninDescription
As the veil thins and the year turns inward, we’ll gather in a sacred space to feel, release, and remember—moving through the ache of grief into the sweetness that lives beneath it.
In this special seasonal JourneyDance collaborative offering, we will begin together in an opening circle where Kaitlyn will serve homemade, herbal-infused chocolate truffles alongside a grief invocation and storytelling practice. We’ll name what we are grieving—both personally and collectively—and open our hearts through myth, poetry, and shared reflection.
From there, we’ll move into our individual journeys. Arielle will guide a JourneyDance movement experience to honor the natural cycles of letting go and renewal that come with autumn. JourneyDance is a guided, free-form movement practice that blends dance, imagery, and emotional expression. It’s not about choreography or performance—it’s about moving the way your body wants to move, allowing emotion, energy, and intuition to lead the way.
Arielle and Kaitlyn will close the container with a final circle of witnessing and gratitude, honoring the cycle of death and rebirth and anchoring what has been felt and transformed.
No dance experience needed. Just a willingness to show up, move, and feel fully
Meet your Facilitators:
Arielle Diamond Wortzel, LSW, is a holistic licensed psychotherapist, certified yoga/meditation teacher, postpartum doula, JourneyDance guide, and cofounder of Coastal Rhythms Collective. With 10 years of experience in somatic healing, Arielle has worked in diverse settings including retreat centers, schools, intentional festivals, corporate environments, and intensive outpatient units. Over the past 7 years, she has served as a clinician, offering both group and individual therapy to clients navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, and more. Arielle is also trained in crisis response and spent 1.5 years on a 24/7 on-call rotation, providing support in high-risk and high-needs crisis situations.
Kaitlyn’s work lives in the intersection of spirituality, mycology, creativity, and the integration of Death in the sacred cycle of Life. The more she dives into each of these avenues the more she recognizes they are all languages describing the same phenomenon.
With the mycelial web as her greatest teacher and creation as her devotional practice, Kaitlyn weaves stories through visual art and immersive experience; embedding us into our ecosystems and sparking a remembrance of our interstitial and unique place in the expansive web of life.
