Tai Chi Flow: One-Day Workshop with Jahan Marcu, PhD
Join us for a special one-day Tai Chi Flow workshop led by Jahan Marcu, PhD—certified TaijiFit instructor and a martial artist with competition experience. This session is designed to be accessible, enjoyable, and enriching for all levels.
The class will be divided into two parts: the first portion (about one-third of the time) offers guided instruction on core Tai Chi principles and footwork—helping participants build body awareness and confidence. The remaining time will be dedicated to a continuous follow-along Tai Chi Flow, designed to relax the body, calm the mind, and energize the spirit.
No experience necessary—just wear comfortable clothes and come ready to move!
Traditional Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice that combines slow, deliberate movements with deep breathing and meditation, originating as a martial art but now primarily practiced for its health benefits. It focuses on cultivating internal energy, or qi, through coordinated body postures and mindful breathing; it is often described as “meditation in motion.” This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance. Research suggests it can improve cardiovascular fitness, lower blood pressure, prevent falls and help people who have arthritis.
