Join us for an unforgettable 4-day Karate Camp at ZenTora, where children not only train with experienced martial artists but also explore mindfulness, creative expression, and focused play in a nurturing, Zen-inspired environment.

Each day runs from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM, blending traditional Shotokan Karate with enriching activities like breathwork, attention training, martial arts-themed games, nature-based art, and reflection time. A 15-minute snack break allows children to relax, socialize, and practice mindful eating.

This camp isn’t just about physical training—it’s about building discipline, confidence, inner strength, and joyful connection. No experience required. All levels welcome!

Meet the Instructors

Sensei Mike
A 5th-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, Sensei Mike brings nearly 60 years of martial arts experience to our community. Known for his precise technique, deep wisdom, and calm presence, he is not only a highly respected Karate master but also a beloved grandfather of three. Sensei Mike’s classes instill focus, strength, and heart in every student—he is truly the soul of our dojo and a cherished mentor to all.

Pauline – Assistant Instructor
An advanced brown belt in Karate and a black belt in Taekwondo, Pauline combines her martial arts expertise with a deep passion for child development. A dedicated psychology student, she brings warmth, enthusiasm, and clarity to every class. Our young students adore her energy and encouraging teaching style.

Ekaterina Machavariani (Eka) – Assistant Instructor
Eka is an advanced purple belt with a deep love for the philosophy and spirit of Karate. With over 20 years of teaching experience in mathematics and as a devoted homeschool mom, Eka brings creativity, structure, and heartfelt connection into the learning environment. She infuses her sessions with a blend of focus, play, and reflective wisdom.

Located at ZenTora in Rockaway Park, our studio is surrounded by plants, natural light, and peaceful aesthetics—designed to inspire a sense of beauty and inner calm in every child.
