Workshop — Tue, October 21 • 6:30–8:00 PM (75 minutes)
BreathWorks Studio, Squamish
What it is
A practical, evidence-informed introduction to breathwork and heart coherence—how they regulate the nervous system, build resilience, and improve health across the physical, mental, and emotional domains.
Why it matters
When your breath and heart rhythms are coherent, your body shifts into balance: clearer focus, steadier emotions, better sleep, improved recovery, and greater stress tolerance. These tools are simple, measurable, and usable anywhere—at work, at home, and in community.
Who it’s for
Practitioners and health professionals, parents and caregivers, educators, first responders, leaders, and anyone navigating stress, burnout, or change.
What you’ll learn & experience
-
What is breathwork? The major lineages (pranayama & conscious connected/circular breath), when to use which, and trauma-informed safety.
-
What is heart coherence? The physiology (HRV), the mind–heart connection, and how coherence supports healing and performance.
-
Health impacts: sleep, focus, mood regulation, inflammation/stress load, pain perception, and recovery.
-
Real-life application: micro-practices you can use in 2–5 minutes at your desk, in the car, before tough conversations, or at bedtime.
-
Guided practice: gentle breath sequencing + heart-focused coherence to feel the shift in real time.
Takeaways
-
A simple coherence protocol you can replicate daily
-
A pacing plan to avoid post-exertional crashes and support steady nervous-system recovery
-
A one-page practice guide (PDF) to bring home
-
Optional metrics overview: how to track progress with HRV or subjective check-ins
