Benefiting Trini Foundation

Involution Yoga is a proud partner studio of the Trini Foundation. We are thrilled to participate in the foundation's annual fundraiser by hosting a donation-based Ashtanga class led by Sam Buford. The class will take place on Thursday, September 26th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

Students can register online for the suggested donation of $20 or register in person at the studio in advance or day-of, paying what you can. Donations of any amount are welcome, even if you are unable to attend the class. The proceeds from this donation-based class will be used to fund treatment center yoga classes and yoga tuition scholarships for individuals in recovery to practice at Trini partner studios worldwide. Founded by Taylor and Jessica Hunt, two recovering addicts turned yoga teachers, Trini Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing the transformational practice of Ashtanga yoga to individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Its mission is to teach recovering addicts how to incorporate yoga into their lives as a tool for achieving long term sobriety. The foundation is committed to changing the dialogue surrounding addiction and recovery - from one of isolation, to one of community and growth.

Trini Foundation begins its work in treatment centers where the physical practice of yoga is introduced at the very start of a person’s path to sobriety. But that is not enough. Trini Foundation is committed to supporting each student throughout the entire recovery process. After leaving treatment centers, students who want to continue incorporating yoga into their recovery efforts are eligible to apply for yoga tuition scholarships at studios across the country. Many students do apply, and some have even gone on to become teachers themselves!
