Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to the strong,
physical, yang style practice you are used to at PYB. Yin is the
other half your asana practice. Yin allows deepening in your
physical and spiritual practice and self-discovery. In a typical
Yin practice we do 8-12 poses holding each pose for 3-5 minutes
focusing mainly on hip openers and some shoulder opening poses. The
intention is to specifically target joints, deep tissue, fascia,
and ligaments in each pose facilitating restoration and balance
though the physical body and mind.
