Casey Lewis @caseylynnlewis
& Stacey Pickering @we_are_vibrational_energy
have been co-creating Sound Bath + Reiki offerings together for
quite some time, as well as engaging in their own vocal sounding
practices individually & in small groups. Both regularly
experience supportive, transformative healing through their
explorations with vocalizing - humming, toning, groaning,
growling!, or whatever arises. As their collaborative Sound + Reiki
offerings have evolved, they feel guided to not only share their
vibrational support with folks for the time that we are gathered,
but to help (re)connect participants with the medicine that those
of us with breath & voice carry within and can almost always
access.
Sounding it Out is about empowering ourselves to remember &
reclaim our voices to support our own healing & liberation. In
this practice we slow down, listen within, and notice what is
asking for attention. We will bring care to the parts of us that
need it through breath & vocalization (whatever arises! - maybe
even a simple song / chant invitation). This can be done sitting,
lying down, moving as needed, and even silently, in stillness, if
desired.
Then, we'll release the practice & nestle in with blankets and
bolsters to receive the restorative vibrations of crystal &
Tibetan singing bowls, bells, chimes, gong, shruti box, rain stick,
guda drum, & voice, and group hands-off (& possibly,
optionally 1:1 hands-on) nurturing Reiki.
We'll take some time to process silently, with the option of
journaling or artistic expression - bring supplies if you desire!
-
then close our gathering, with an invitation to share.
Of course, vocal sounding is optional, as are all parts of these
gatherings. Silence can surely be medicine too. But if there is
something in us that fears being heard, perhaps a supportive
container of nonjudgement is the perfect place to lean in with
curiosity & compassion, and explore what happens when we give
ourselves permission to have a voice.

You are invited to join Holistic Wellness Practitioner Stacey Pickering for a restorative sound bath, including crystal singing bowls, intuitive vocalization & other vibrationally healing instrumentation.
Crystal singing bowls, made of quartz and other gemstones, are used in ceremony, meditation, and various transformative experiences. They produce strong, clear, true tones that resonate deeply in our bodies & energetic systems. The vibrations that ring out from the bowls create clear pathways in us for opening, release, connection, balance & stillness. Their powerful sounds can help us feel grounded, energized, peaceful, uplifted and whole.
Sound vibrations have the power to clear mental clutter & allow space for new neural pathways, helping to catalyze the creation of what we want to be & see more of in our lives & in the world.
Join Stacey to reset, rebalance, and reconnect with yourself.

This year feels different – heavy, terrifying, enraging, yes – but instead of retreating, self-isolating and mourning, we are hungry for connection and community. We are taking stock of our resources. Some are limited, like our time on earth; others are boundless, like our capacity for giving and receiving love. How do we maximize and nurture goodness in the time we have right now?
Our 2025 Murmurations books are meant to guide us toward what matters, and help us recognize the quiet, mobilizing power of love in all its forms.
September 19th: Briefly Perfectly Human by Alua Arthur
About the book:
For her clients and everyone who has been inspired by her humanity, Alua Arthur is a friend at the end of the world. As our country's leading death doula, she's spreading a transformative message: thinking about your death--whether imminent or not--will breathe wild, new potential into your life.
Warm, generous, and funny AF, Alua supports and helps manage end-of-life care on many levels. The business matters, medical directives, memorial planning; but also honoring the quiet moments, when monitors are beeping and loved ones have stepped out to get some air--or maybe not shown up at all--and her clients become deeply contemplative and want to talk. Aching, unfinished business often emerges. Alua has been present for thousands of these sacred moments--when regrets, fears, secret joys, hidden affairs, and dim realities are finally said aloud. When this happens, Alua focuses her attention at the pulsing center of her clients' anguish and creates space for them, and sometimes their loved ones, to find peace.
This has had a profound effect on Alua, who was already no stranger to death's periphery. Her family fled a murderous coup d'état in Ghana in the 1980s. She has suffered major, debilitating depressions. And her dear friend and brother-in-law died of lymphoma. Advocating for him in his final months is what led Alua to her life's calling. She knows firsthand the power of bearing witness and telling the truth about life's painful complexities, because they do not disappear when you look the other way. They wait for you.
Briefly Perfectly Human is a life-changing, soul-gathering debut, by a writer whose empathy, tenderness, and wisdom shimmers on the page. Alua Arthur combines intimate storytelling with a passionate appeal for loving, courageous end-of-life care--what she calls “death embrace.” Hers is a powerful testament to getting in touch with something deeper in our lives, by embracing the fact of our own mortality. “Hold that truth in your mind,” Alua says, “and wondrous things will begin to grow around it.”
