Baza Dance Studio's Salsa Intro
course is for absolute beginners and those new to Salsa dancing.
There are no pre-requisites for this course and registering with a
partner is not required.

*This is a partner
dancing class but students are not required to register with a
partner. All students will be partnered up with a fellow student or
one of our friendly helpers. Dancers have the option to rotate
during the class so everyone has a chance to dance with
everyone.

Assessment
requirement: Students wishing to join this course must
have completed at least 24 weeks of Intermediate 1 Salsa at Baza
Dance and have been actively socially dancing Salsa for at least 1
year and demonstrate solid Salsa On1 social dancing skills,
including proper timing, body rhythm and use of shines.
ALL students wishing to enroll in
Intermediate or higher partner dance courses at Baza must obtain
permission from the instructor either via in-class assessment or by
appointment. Assessments may be booked by emailing us at dance@bazadance.com

Sensual Integration is designed
for dancers ready to deepen their understanding of sensual bachata
by refining technique, enhancing creativity, and developing a more
intuitive dance connection. This course focuses on applying sensual
fundamentals in dynamic, expressive, and musically sensitive ways,
helping dancers develop their own voice while maintaining clear
connection and communication with their partner. By the end of the
course, students will:
- Balance structured technique with personal interpretation, adaptability, and playfulness,
- Use breath, level changes, and adaptive tension to create dynamic, elastic lead-follow communication,
- Build confidence in navigating more complex frames, transitions, and momentum-based movements,
- Interpret musical cues to express energy shifts, accents, and phrase changes with intention.

Assessment will be required to be booked by emailing or calling Baza before attending this course if you have taken Salsa in another studio or believe you should be placed in this level or higher. This is a true Advanced course - students who join this course and do not qualify may be recommended to return to a lower level.
