This course is for Experienced Salsa dancers.
Salsa
Caleño is the name for the style of Salsa originating from Cali,
Colombia (hence the name “Cali style”) It is characterized by quick
footwork with a more rigid frame than other styles of Salsa. Cali
style dancers are known for their lighting quick feet!
Like all salsa, Salsa Caleño can be danced to all kinds of salsa music - even though you'll find this style primarily danced socially in Cali, it is starting to gain popularity all over the world - it requires partners to both have a strong sense of connection, timing and synchronization and is crazy fun to dance once you get the hang of the basic!

This course is open to all experienced Salsa dancers who have a solid grasp of their Salsa and/or Cumbia basics. Prior experience in Salsa Caleño is not required.

Caleño course takes place on Mondays from 7:20 - 8:20pm (60 minute
classes, 3 hours of instruction)

dancing. There are no pre-requisites to join and a partner is not

Baza Dance Studio's Kizomba Intro course is for absolute
beginners and those new to Kizomba. Kizomba music and dance
originated in Angola, Africa and has its roots in Semba, Caribbean
Zouk, and Konpa, with influences from Cuban Son. This beginner
course is focused on teaching students the fundamentals of
understanding Kizomba music and rhythms, the essentials of Kizomba
dance as well as a basic understanding of its rich cultural
roots.

This course is for students who have completed Intro Bachata with
Baza at least once. Students wishing to enroll in this course who
have not completed Intro Bachata at Baza must schedule an
assessment to get permission to enroll. Email is at dance@bazadance.com for more
information!
We have 4 different modules of
the Bachata Fundamentals courses, and therefore you will stay in
this level for at least 24 - 32 weeks before moving up to
Intermediate
