Finding Ease: Stress Support for Living with Chronic Pain
Living with chronic pain is exhausting. When we aren’t feeling well, many proven stress management strategies like exercise or yoga may not feel available to us. Stress makes pain louder, but managing stress shouldn’t require more energy than you have.
This workshop offers simple, compassionate strategies for calming your nervous system, easing tension, and supporting your body on painful days. We’ll discuss real strategies backed by pain science research to help relieve pain, and you’ll learn realistic tools you can use to modify your yoga practice on days you are not feeling your best.
Participants will learn:
-
What the latest brain imaging research tells us about pain and our brains.
-
About the relationship of stress and pain.
-
The three common beliefs that can exacerbate pain.
-
Somatic and mindfulness techniques to reduce tension.
-
How to create a plan to cope with stressful or high pain days.
This workshop is designed for people with chronic pain, chronic illness, or anyone whose pain and daily stress feel overwhelming. No yoga experience required. All bodies, abilities, and experience levels are welcome.
This compassionate and trauma-informed yoga class and support group is designed to create a safe, nurturing space for survivors of trauma and abuse. Combining gentle yoga practices with journaling and group discussion, the class focuses on healing and rebuilding a sense of body awareness, strength, and inner peace. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation, participants can reconnect with their bodies in a supportive environment, fostering empowerment, self-compassion, and emotional resilience. The group discussions provide a confidential space to share experiences, offer support, and build community. Whether you’re new to yoga or have prior experience, this class is intended to meet you where you are in your healing journey, helping you cultivate a deeper sense of safety, self-love, and healing.
This class is not a replacement for therapy with a licensed professional. For extra support please contact the NWA Center for Sexual Assault.

Step into the peaceful beauty of the forest and begin your day with intention, movement, and deep connection to nature. Magic in the Forest is a nurturing yoga workshop designed to awaken your senses, calm your mind, and reconnect you with the natural world.
We’ll begin with a gentle, grounding yoga practice that invites you to move with the rhythm of your breath and the energy of the trees around you. From there, you’ll be guided through forest bathing - the mindful practice of slowing down and immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the forest (no water or bathing suits required!). This Japanese-inspired practice helps reduce stress, support mental clarity, and deepen your connection to the earth.
Our morning will close with a deeply restorative sound bath, allowing soothing vibrations to wash over you as you rest beneath the canopy of the trees. The sounds of crystal bowls and nature will blend together to bring your body into a state of deep relaxation and renewal.
Come breathe, stretch, listen, and reconnect with the quiet magic of the forest.
What to Bring:
• Yoga mat or blanket
• Water
• Comfortable clothing and shoes for outdoor movement
• An open heart and curious spirit
• Optional lunch/snacks if you want to extend your experience
Let the forest hold you as you welcome the energy of a new day.
