This meeting is dedicated to empowering women working in behavioral health, addiction treatment, recovery, and mental health. This gathering is designed to foster connection, collaboration, and professional growth among women who are making a difference in the lives of others.

Created and facilitated by Alison Crair, this event provides a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, network with other professionals, and share experiences that inspire personal and professional growth. Whether you are a clinician, counselor, peer support specialist, administrator, or advocate, this event offers a supportive space to celebrate your contributions, gain valuable insights, and strengthen your community.

Group Meditation at Behavioral Fitness

Join us in a safe and inclusive space where community and connection are at the heart of the practice.

This meditation group first came together through Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Walk for the World meditation. What has kept us returning week after week, however, is the welcoming environment at the Behavioral Fitness studio — a place where presence, belonging, and growth flourish.

The group is facilitated by Teri DeLaMontanya, co-founder of Behavioral Fitness. A former emergency nurse leader, Teri once found sitting still for even one minute to be uncomfortably difficult. Her path changed through years of personal practice, including completing a six-month Level 1 meditation course at Buddha Gate Monastery. She discovered not only the profound benefits of meditation, but also the power of practicing together in community.

That experience has inspired this ongoing offering, open to all. Whether you are brand new to meditation or have practiced for years, you are welcome here. Together, we listen to a variety of recorded meditations, share in collective stillness, and nurture a deeper sense of balance and peace.

Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your breath, and your presence. Leave with a calmer mind, a lighter heart, and a stronger sense of connection.

Paddle the Bay: A Behavioral Fitness SUP Adventure

Join the Behavioral Fitness community for a refreshing day on the water as we explore the beautiful waterways of Alameda by stand-up paddleboard.

We’ll meet at Sea Trek in Alameda, where their experienced team will provide all the gear you need along with basic paddleboarding instruction. From there, we’ll head out together for a guided paddle through the calm Alameda estuary and waterfront canals, passing charming homes along the shoreline before opening up to expansive views of the San Francisico Bay, San Francisco skyline, and the Bay Bridge near the marina.

This experience is designed to be fun, social, and accessible—even for beginners. Most participants find paddleboarding surprisingly stable, and while falling in is always a possibility in the adventure, most people stay comfortably on their boards. (Honestly- these boards are super stable and its a very rare occasion for someone to fall in). You will be supported and guided the whole way.

Please dress in layers and bring an extra change of clothes just in case. Come ready to move, breathe in the fresh Bay air, and enjoy a unique Behavioral Fitness experience on the water.

About the facilitator:

Renee Fesperman is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
with 18 years of experience in private practice. She is also a
certified somatic trauma therapist, specializing in supporting
individuals, children, families, and couples through a wide range
of life challenges and transitions. In 2018, Renee discovered the
profound benefits of sound healing at a local yoga studio. After
attending numerous sound healing workshops and retreats, she
refined her skills and deepened her understanding of the
therapeutic power of sound. Renee now integrates sound healing
into her clinical work and offers immersive sound bath healing
experiences, blending her extensive psychotherapy background
with somatic and vibrational healing practices to support holistic
well-being.
