designed this progressive 3-part workshop series to help you
understand, strengthen, and release the muscles around your hips
and IT band for more easeful movement on and off the mat. Each
session builds on the last, offering a balance of somatic
awareness, mobility work, and functional strength—culminating in an
integrated yoga flow.
Whether you sit a lot, run, bike, hike, ski, or just want more
freedom in your hips and knees, this series offers valuable tools
for both relief and prevention.

Align yourself with the divine qualities of the universe through chanting sanskrit mantras.
In a judgement-free space, we’ll begin with gentle movement to find
comfort in the body, a short story time, and mantra followed by
silent meditation and deep relaxation.
Each month, we will focus a different mantra to chant together as a
group. This can be done anywhere in the spectrum of silently to out
loud. Though we’ll work through the pronunciation together,
mumbling is encouraged! This is open to all bodies, voices, belief
systems and experience levels.

This training introduces the core principles of trauma-informed yoga—an approach to teaching yoga that acknowledges the presence of trauma in many students' lives and intentionally creates a safer, supportive environment. By using mindful language and carefully chosen techniques, trauma-informed yoga supports nervous system regulation and overall well-being.

Please note: This is a professional training, not a therapeutic group. We do not ask participants or facilitators to share personal trauma histories at any point.
Training Format:

1 hour of pre-work (to be completed before the training weekend)

3 in-person training days (Friday through Sunday, 9:30am-4:30pm each day)

2-4 hours of post-training homework
Upon completion of all coursework, participants will receive a certificate and are eligible for 20 hours of CEUs through Yoga Alliance.

Cole Schlam, Program Director of Comeback Yoga, E-RYT 500 specializing Trauma-Sensitive Yoga
Cole’s passion is to support everyday people as they safely and playfully step into their own confidence and connect deeply with themselves. Her method of choice: yoga. Yoga can empower individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally. And with some curiosity and openness, it can have lasting benefits that run deep.
Cole has been teaching trauma-informed yoga for over 14 years. While working with an organization for the end of violence against women, Cole regularly witnessed the disconnect that women experiencing physical abuse sometimes have from their bodies. This disconnect is what spurred Cole’s intrigue in the physical body’s place in supporting trauma recovery. She has been with Comeback Yoga since 2020 and is honored to serve the Comeback Yoga community.
Join Samantha for a deeply
restorative journey into stillness and sound. This immersive
workshop combines a deep guided meditation with the beautiful,
healing vibrations of a sound bath. This unique experience features
crystal singing bowls and Samantha’s soft, encouraging, velvety
voice.
You’ll be led into a state of conscious relaxation through gentle
breathwork and a guided meditation. As your nervous system begins
to settle, the resonant frequencies of sound will wash over you,
supporting emotional release, energetic alignment, deep inner calm,
and connection to your true nature, the divine within.
No movement or yoga experience is required. Simply lie back, get
comfortable, and allow yourself to be held by sound and
stillness.
