Join Samantha for this 30-minute Monthly Mindfulness practice, where we will explore different types of mindfulness and meditation practices because one size does not always fit all. This practice is fantastic for beginners and experienced practitioners alike to set aside some time for yourself, and maybe try out something new, or something you have not done in a while.

 

Mindfulness and meditation practices have been shown in studies to potentially help with:

  • Easing the symptoms of Anxiety and Depression

  • Reducing Stress

  • Improving Sleep

  • Improving Brain Health, ie helping stave off memory loss

  • Increasing Attention Span

  • Easing Pain - particularly chronic pain

  • Helping Focus the Mind

  • Bolstering Self-Confidence

  • and so much more!

Body Take Back :: A practice for healthcare justice

Unfortunately, many of us have received inadequate care from the American healthcare system. These inadequacies can negatively impact one’s health outcomes and can make it difficult to feel empowered and motivated to take care of our bodies in the way we deserve.
 
Body Take Back is a monthly, 75-minute, all levels vinyasa flow-style (and then some) workshop with a goal to help us reclaim our bodies and undo some of the harm caused by the American healthcare system. Body Take Back will provide students with a well-rounded yoga practice in order to develop an arsenal of knowledge and skills to improve one’s overall well-being.
 
Over the course of this workshop, you can expect a balance of
:: high intensity exercise
:: asana (yoga poses)
:: pranayama (breath work)
:: various forms of self-care
:: meditation
:: vagus nerve regulation
:: mental health care
:: self-advocacy
:: education on mind-body connection
:: education on intersecting social justice and healthcare justice issues.
 
All proceeds from this workshop will be donated to the Colorado Foundation for Universal Health Care, a non-profit organization committed to advocating for healthcare justice and implementing universal health care to all citizens of Colorado (website included below). Kate has served as an active Board of Directors member with the Foundation since 2023.
