Module 1 of the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Alison Réaume
Early Bird Pricing Until April 1st, 2026
This in-person, part-time 50-hour training explores the foundations of yoga practice through philosophy, breath and nervous system awareness, anatomy, meditation, and foundational postures. Designed for dedicated practitioners, this module provides a structured introduction to the philosophical and practical roots of yoga while supporting the development of a sustainable personal practice.
Throughout the training, students will explore the history of yoga, key teachings from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and an introduction to the subtle body, including concepts such as prana and the koshas. Students will also learn foundational pranayama practices, including ujjayi breath, and be introduced to foundational meditation techniques that support focus and awareness.
The training includes a step-by-step breakdown of foundational postures, helping students understand how to safely and effectively access these shapes in their own bodies. Postures explored include Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Forward Fold (Uttanasana), Half Lift (Ardha Uttanasana), Plank, Chaturanga Dandasana, Cobra (Bhujangasana), Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Tree Pose (Vrksasana), and Child’s Pose (Balasana) and more. Students will also learn a detailed breakdown of Sun Salutation A, exploring how breath, alignment, and transitions work together within the sequence.
Students will receive a comprehensive training manual to support their study throughout the program.
