What is MX Juneteenth?

Mx. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and a dedication to the ongoing struggle for collective liberation in the Black queer community.

Mx. Juneteenth is more than an event—it’s a movement.

• Founded in 2021, we are rooted in the spirit of Juneteenth, cultivating a space for reverence, remembrance, and radical joy. Through intentional planning and organizing,

• we create a liberatory space that centers Black queer feminist politics, community care, and unapologetic celebration.

We are committed to honoring the significance of Juneteenth by fostering a communal, safe, and affirming space that follows a Black queer feminist framework and praxis.

At Mx. Juneteenth, we imagine and create a future where:

• Our ancestors are honored with intentionality and care.

• Community thrives through mutual support and shared joy.

• Collective liberation is not only imagined but actively built.
