Soma+IQ Breathwork
This breathwork offers an immersive experience that shifts your focus from your analytical mind to your body's energetic network. The technique utilizes circular breathing combined with rhythmic music to facilitate a cathartic emotional release. This release can manifest through movement, shaking, yelling, crying or laughing, among other expressions. By harnessing your breath, you can tap into your natural healing abilities, clearing away blockages that hinder your true self and how you wish to present yourself in the world.
This practice helps to promote relaxation and clarity and can bring a sense of joy and presence. Many people report feelings of euphoria and out-of-body experiences followed by feelings of gratitude and peace after the practice.
Contraindications:
SomatIQ Breathwork is intended as a personal growth experience and should not be looked upon as a substitute of psychotherapy. It is not appropriate for pregnant women, for persons with cardiovascular problems, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, history of seizures, stroke, major psychiatric conditions, recent surgery, acute infectious illness, or epilepsy. if you have any doubts about whether you should participate, please consult with your primary physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician. A release form will be needed to participate in class.
Please bring water, a journal if you like, and refrain from eating a large meal or drinking caffeine two hours prior to the session.
Join us for a 60-minute yoga flow designed to connect breath and body, enhanced by hands-on assists to deepen your practice and bring alighnment into focus. This immersive experience will be guided by live ambient music, weaving sound and rhythm into every movement.
We'll close with a 30-minute Shavasana Sound Bath, allowing you to fully surrender and integrate, surrounded by soothing tones and harmonic resonance. Not to mention the birds' songs!
What are yoga assists? Yoga assists are a powerful way to deepen your practice--not only do they support proper alignment, but they also help you access new levels of release, openness, and awareness in each pose. Thoughtful, intuitive touch can bring grounding, expansion, and a sense of being truly seen and supported--and yes, they feel amazing. Every person will receive hands on assists if they choose (yes/no cards will be given, so you are welcome to opt out).
Weather permitting, this event will be outside in the garden.
