
Kids Yoga and Mindfulness are here at Inna Essence.
Aimed at 5-12 year olds, this term based class is on Tuesdays from 3.45 - 4.30pm.
Our term-based yoga and mindfulness program for primary school-aged children, is designed to engage little ones, whilst fostering physical, emotional, and social wellbeing in a fun and safe yoga studio setting.
Here at Inna Essence, it is our aim to introduce children to yoga and mindfulness in an age-appropriate and enjoyable way. This program’s goals are to:

Your teacher is Silke - an Inna Essence Yoga teacher and previously a high school teacher. Silke holds a blue card and NDIS verification/registration.

The STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations course (24 hours) equips you with the skills required to address a broad range of physical challenges among your clients.
Course Objectives
- Discuss the Pilates instructor’s role in the rehabilitative process
- Examine the industry standards for screening clients and learn how to begin a Pilates program to safely and appropriately work with special populations
- Discuss the three-level muscle classification system
- Develop and be able to apply a rehabilitative approach based on current models of joint stability
- Examine optimal and dysfunctional biomechanical patterns in various regions of the body
- Review the most common injuries and special populations that may be encountered
- Review appropriate exercise progressions for those injuries and special populations
- Practice programming for specific injuries and special populations
Prerequisite
- Completion of Intensive MatPlus, Intensive Reformer or Comprehensive Matwork & Reformer
It is important to note that this course will NOT prepare students to diagnose or treat any specific injuries or conditions or prescribe exercises for these populations without consultation with an appropriate health practitioner (i.e. Physical Therapist, Physiotherapist or similarly recognised health care professional).

This 7 hour, one-day Total Barre Foundations Course provides the groundwork for instructors to produce safe, effective and varied barre programs that address the needs and goals of every client.
Participants are introduced to the Total Barre Principles – six movement awareness fundamentals that provide the structure and biomechanical basis for each exercise.
During the course, participants have the opportunity to experience the movements before examining the application of the principles, and learn the essence of each exercise along with the theories of dynamic stability, optimal mobility and movement efficiency.
Course Objectives
• Learn creative choreography of a well-balanced Barre
workout
• Receive a template to effectively guide participants to modify
and choreograph future workouts
• Break down various movements and explore the stabilization and
mobilization required to achieve them
• Learn how to cue, correct and modify effectively for all
populations
• Experience and implement six Total Barre Foundational
Principles
• Participants are supplied suggested beats per minute for each
segment of the workout they learn with optional music playlist
This course is intended for those who are already working in the fields of fitness or movement (personal training and/or strength conditioning experience) or someone with an interest in developing these skills.

Over this 2 day (10 hour) course, students will learn to design and lead the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Arc Barrel repertoire for personal or group training settings for a range of clients.
Course Objectives
- How to apply the STOTT PILATES Principles to exercises on the Arc Barrel, Spine Corrector and Ladder Barrel
- Exercises from the STOTT PILATES Essential and Intermediate Barrel repertoire
- To understand movement essence and exercise goals
- How to support the spine in flexion, lateral flexion or extension, to target core and peripheral muscle groups, and to adapt exercises to specific body types
- How to incorporate the barrels into a full-body workout and program for specific body types, postural issues and conditions
- To develop effective communication and observational skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation

- Completion of STOTT Pilates Intensive MatPlus, Intensive Reformer or Comprehensive Matwork & Reformer
