------------------------------------------

Baby + Me Yoga provides a comfortable, supportive environment for mothers/caregivers and their babies (about six weeks old to crawling), to bond with their babies, restore their body after birth, and build community.

This nourishing practice honors the unique needs of postpartum recovery, and is designed to build strength, soothe common discomforts of caring for a baby, and empower you on your journey. This class also includes activities to bond with your baby and foster their health and wellness such as: exercises, infant massage, and songs.

Everything is welcome during class: feeding, diaper changing, crying babies, sleeping babies, playful babies, and especially babywearing! Bring a baby blanket, some toys, and whatever else will make you feel comfortable as you meet other parents and create special memories with your new baby.

Class Structure: Our postpartum yoga class typically begins with a brief centering and grounding meditation and group introductions, followed by gentle warm-up exercises to release tension and prepare the body for movement. We'll then explore a series of yoga poses that focus on relieving stress and tension from the most common trouble spots, the neck, shoulders and upper back, and work on stabilizing the abdominal wall, lower back, and pelvis after pregnancy and childbirth. Each class ends with a guided relaxation to promote rest and rejuvenation.

This class is suitable for beginners with no previous yoga experience who are six weeks or more postpartum. Modifications will be offered to accommodate individual needs and ensure a safe and comfortable practice for every participant. If you have any specific medical concerns or conditions, please consult with your healthcare provider before participating in postpartum yoga. Feel free to reach out to us at info@louisvillecommunityyoga.com with any questions or concerns you may have about the class or your practice.

We look forward to connecting with you and your little one in Baby + Me Yoga class!

Avr 19, 2026 - Avr 19, 2026

Outdoor yoga with Erin Spors

Forest Bathing with Lori Ventimiglia

Drop into your body and senses through outdoor yoga followed by an immersive Forest Bathing experience. Amidst the trees, birds, sky and ground, this workshop is designed to support you in slowing down - attuning body, mind and spirit to the beauty of the natural world.

We will start with a seated meditation followed by an alignment-based vinyasa yoga practice that emphasizes conscious presence. This prepares the soil for the Forest Bathing, a simple, slow and quiet practice that nurtures a sense of belonging with ourselves and the Earth.

Stillness Speaks: Exploring the Difference Between Yin and Restorative Yoga
Mai 17, 2026 - Mai 17, 2026

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, move faster, and stay busy, stillness can feel both unfamiliar and deeply needed. This workshop invites you to slow down and listen to your body, your breath, and the quiet wisdom that emerges when movement pauses.

Together, we’ll explore the subtle but meaningful differences between Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. While both practices emphasize stillness and longer-held poses, they serve different purposes: Yin gently stresses the deeper connective tissues to improve mobility and cultivate inner awareness, while Restorative uses full support to encourage deep rest and nervous system healing.

This workshop will include:
~A brief discussion on the intention and benefits of Yin vs. Restorative
~A guided Yin practice focused on mindful sensation and presence
~A deeply supported Restorative sequence for relaxation and renewal
~Time for reflection and integration

Whether you’re new to these styles or a seasoned practitioner, this workshop will help you understand how, and when, to use each practice in your life. Come experience how different forms of stillness can speak in different ways.

Leave feeling informed, grounded, and restored with a clearer sense of how to choose the practice your body and nervous system truly need.
