
This class introduces directional pre-reading, elementary music theory and technique with engaging songs, games, and creative discovery at the keyboard. A parent/guardian must attend and participate with the student weekly.

Nonauditioned Ensemble for Kids! Ages 5-8 /16 week semester

Course Description: Do you love to sing with friends and learn
music in a fun, hands-on way? This choir is for you! Students will
learn the fundamentals of singing alone and with others through a
variety of learning activities that include movement, games and
musical exploration.
Students will discover and apply basic singing techniques across a
wide variety of music styles and have the opportunity to perform
during the MAFAA recitals. This class is a prerequisite for the
Encore! Kids Chorale.

A full-size, jazz big band that will rehearse a specific concert repertoire, every 8-weeks and conclude with a public concert at the end of each session. This ensemble was originally geared to high school/.college students, but is open to all in the community of any age (must have a high school level degree of playing ability). The big band would consist of Alto Saxes, Tenor Saxes, Bari Sax, Trumpets, Trombones, Piano, Bass, Guitar, VIbraphone, Drums, Auxiliary Percussion and Vocalist(s).

A community concert band for musicians of a High School level and above. This group will meet weekly on Mondays in the MAC Band Room from 7-9 pm. The repertoire will include a variety of styles and span a wide range of difficulty as we rehearse to prepare music for a fall concert, winter concert and spring concert.

A dynamic, non-auditioned choral ensemble comprised of college students, high school students and singers from the community. Community Singers perform a variety of music styles with concerts every 8 weeks and community performance events!
