
This Series is for Beginners with a little bit of experience (or equivalent)
This series picks up where our Beginner I (Raw Beginner) series left off. You do not need to have completed our Beginner I Series to attend this series, but you should be able to practice basic poses with no risk of injury. Our focus will be on building yoga skills rather than doing a fast paced practice. Our pace will be medium to slow and build skills from the ground up.
As we continue to build your practice, this series will focus on leg alignment and the lower body. By the end, you will experience the power of a stable foundation. As your legs are the foundation of your posture, a solid, well-aligned lower body aids every step you take as rooted in strength and confidence. Each session is carefully crafted to help you build muscle awareness, improve joint alignment, and increase flexibility in your lower body.
We offer you expert instruction for stress management, joint care, core strength, safe stretching, balance techniques, and confident movement. These classes designed for all levels of experience in a relaxed, judgment-free environment and will help you explore yoga beyond poses. This is where you learn foundational practices and the language of yoga.
This class will prepare you for more in this same series.
Enough of which will prepare you to take any yoga class you like in safety and excellence.

Are you new to yoga and looking for an Alignment Primer? This workshop will teach you all the alignment basics you need to have a happy body for a quality, sustainable yoga practice.
Perhaps you have a long time yoga practice and want to get clarity on how to take good care of your body in every practice. This workshop will be a comprehensive look and foundational yoga alignment.
This will not be a cookie cutter workshop that teaches alignment as if trying to fit you into a box of placing your body parts in “proper” location. Here’s a yoga insight: There is no Universal Proper Location. This is because we are all anatomically unique. It is easy to think otherwise because most people learn Anatomy from a book and books rarely show this kind of variation, but real human beings are a little different from each other. It is odd that most of us see visible uniqueness on the outside (like individual faces that do not look alike), yet we assume uniformity inside.
Thus Alignment will look different for different bodies. Does this mean it’s impossible to understand alignment or that it will take some PhD level Anatomical Study? Not at all. Alex will simplify anatomical variations so not only will you know how to align your body in common yoga poses, but understand how to align yoga poses that you have never seen before.
