During the performance week, all students will need to wear a solid black t-shirt, solid black shoes, solid black pants (or solid black leggings), and black socks. This goal is for no ankles showing, and students to have a base layer of clothes that we can use under their NBT provided costumes. If you need support or these items provided, please email studio@northbaytheatrics.org and we will provide them for you.
Student Behavior and Attitude
Brook Haven Middle School rules and the NBT Code of Conduct apply during all rehearsals and performances. Together, we strive to create a positive, welcoming environment where students of different ages and backgrounds can collaborate and thrive.

Little Shop of Horrors (Ages
11–18)
This season, our teen students will come together to produce the
darkly hilarious cult classic Little Shop of Horrors. With over 70 hours of
instruction, this production-based class offers older students the
chance to strengthen their acting, vocal, and dancing skills while
working on a fully staged musical that explores complex characters
and storytelling.
About the Show
Little Shop of Horrors
follows Seymour, a shy flower shop assistant who discovers a
strange and powerful plant with a taste for blood. As Seymour's
fame grows, so does the plant's appetite, and the consequences
quickly spiral out of control. The show combines catchy
rock-and-roll style music with moments of absurdity, humor,
tragedy, and social commentary.
Please Note
This production contains more mature themes than our other
offerings. Content includes:
-
Depictions of death
-
Inference of suicidal ideation
-
References to trauma and abuse
-
Gunshot sound effects
-
Some strong language
We encourage families to use their best judgment and reach out if they have any questions or concerns about the material. Our team approaches these themes with care, always prioritizing the emotional safety and well-being of our students.
Every student is a valued part of the cast.
-
Every student receives a named role.
-
Each actor is given their own individual bow moment.
-
Roles are never limited based on a student’s size or gender identity.
-
All registered students are part of the cast. Auditions are only required for students who would like to be considered for roles with large amounts of speaking lines or solos. We make the process fun and supportive.
At North Bay Theatrics,
we put person above
performance.
We know and value every student, regardless of the role they play.
Our program is built on meaningful connections, student leadership,
and creative expression. We encourage our teens to be who they want
to be and celebrate their individuality both on and off stage.

Step into the magic of live theater from behind the curtain. In this hands-on class, students will learn the essential skills that bring productions to life. From operating a followspot light and running a sound board to applying stage makeup and speaking professionally over headset, participants will gain practical experience in multiple technical areas of theater.
Students will also learn how to move set pieces with precision, create a show prop, and explore the basics of microphoning actors. As part of their training, each participant will have the opportunity to serve as a member of the Show Crew for one or more of NBT’s Fall productions.
All Show Crew members will be proudly featured in the official show program and will receive an exclusive NBT Show Crew T-shirt to wear during performances.
Whether you're interested in theater tech, behind the scenes of a show, or just want to try something new, this is your chance to be part of the magic where the real work happens.
Students in this class are not required to tech for an NBT show in order to take the class. They may simply enjoy it as a learning opportunity.

This season, our students will experience the joy of working together to create a production of The Lion King! With over 50 hours of instruction, this class is perfect for both beginners and experienced young performers. Students will learn acting, singing, and staging skills while preparing for a full-scale production that culminates in four performances for friends and family: complete with stage lights, microphones, fun costumes, and joy for all.
