Athletes use the synthetic ice and blade hockey treadmill to focus on basic skills to improve: confidence on skates, posture, stride work, inside/ outside edges, cross overs, balance, control, and transitioning on and off ice. Athletes will also be playing many games to encourage participation and the use of the many skills used in the game of hockey.
Ages 6 and under

Prerequisites: True beginners needing help to skate/walk, get up
and down and carry a hockey stick.
Full hockey gear recommended if currently have or shin pads, elbow
pads and stick

This program is designed to increase your strength and speed during the off-season. This program will include both resistance training and conditioning based on your sport. This program is for athletes ages 12 to 18. The objective of this program is to improve strength, speed, and agility as well as help reduce the risk of sports related injuries. Our strength and conditioning coaches focus on proper form and technique using resistance equipment in our weight room as well as sport specific conditioning utilizing our gym. The OMC Sports Medicine and Athletic Performance uses the TeamBuildr® electronic training system for state of the art programming.
