Finding Balance: A Yoga & Tai Chi Workshop
Jui 19, 2025 - Jui 19, 2025

Have you ever considered that we create balance in our postures and our lives rather than find it?

I remember one time a student told me she had lost her tree pose. I smiled thinking of her misplacing it and then we talked about how she is in reality creating it each time. What had changed? Could she discern when and how she was losing her balance as an approach to finding it.

In this new workshop, I will be drawing from the practices of Yoga and Tai Chi to inspire each of us to cultivate a feeling of balance in our body, heart and mind. We will practice a variety of physical forms that challenge us, like Tree pose or Kicking with one leg.

But balance goes beyond being confident standing on two legs or even one. True balance comes from within. Our breath reveals the degree of stability we are experiencing in the moment, and our emotions indicate whether we are feeling the glass half empty or half full vibration.

Tai Chi / Qigong is based on the Yin-Yang philosophy, a balance of opposites and Hatha Yoga means just that. Hatha breaks down into two Sanskrit words, ha for sun, tha for moon. Hatha yoga practices aim to harmonize these seemingly opposite energies for our physical and mental well-being.

I will weave this philosophy into a fun series of physical poses. I hope that you can join me as we create new pathways to creating balance in life, both on the mat and off.

Students new to Yoga and Tai Chi are welcome.

Yoga Philosphy: The Five Koshas
Août 23, 2025 - Août 23, 2025

In this workshop we will be journeying through the five koshas, or layers of ourselves. In Sanskrit, kosha means sheath or body.

In our hearts, we know that we are so much more than just a physical being. Together we'll explore the yogic philosophy of the koshas and how an understanding of them can lead to a more peaceful and happy life.

Join me for an afternoon of philosophy, reflection, community, and breath. Our annual summer philosophy workshop is always a favorite. I hope you can join us. No prior knowledge of yoga philosophy is needed.

Namaste, Frankie
