This is an hour-long dance class focused on basic ballet and tap steps as well as creative movement.
This is an hour-long class focused on advanced ballet steps while using proper dance technique. Dancers have a chance to express their creative dance style all while improving flexibility, coordination, and classroom etiquette. Previous dance experience is recommended.
Acro levels I and II are an hour long class focused on basic stretching and strengthening skills that will help them get one step closer to tumbling. Children will also work on strengthening handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and rolls, as well as basic drills for round offs, and walkovers.
Firebirds is our performance dance team. This group is for dancers who are excited about all styles of dance and want more performance opportunities. Members have minimum weekly class requirements (1 ballet class and 1 additional class per week), be at least 7 years of age, have instructor approval, and pass an audition.
Our Firebird dance team will open and/or close all recitals, perform at local community events (Taste of Oviedo, Great Day in the Country, etc,) and be a featured group on our Songbirds Spooktacular Parade.
The class meets weekly for 90 min.
