Root to Rise: A Pelvic Floor Workshop with pelvic floor PT and Yoga Instructor Mandi Murtaugh
This workshop will give you knowledge about your pelvic floor anatomy, lead you through embodying it through common asana postures, and connect on a deeper level to your root.
Through teaching, embodiment practices, and grounding meditation, you will leave this workshop with a deeper connection to your root and increased awareness of this center of vitality in your body. You will gain practice in incorporating your pelvic floor into your regular asana practice and daily movements. No matter what season of life you are in, it’s never too late to learn about and connect with this vital life center. The gifts of your attention to your pelvic bowl will serve you on through all the seasons to come.

Join Andrea for an evening of slowing down, listening inward, and reconnecting with yourself in a gentle, loving way.
We’ll begin by finding a supportive yoga posture to rest in, setting an intention and opening to the practice. Andrea will guide you through a restorative sound meditation with Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other soothing instruments, you’ll be invited to simply notice what’s happening in your body—those subtle shifts, sensations, and feelings that often go unnoticed in the busyness of life.
After the sound journey, you'll be invited to take time for body mapping—a creative and reflective practice where you’ll bring your inner experience to the page. Through colors, shapes, and words, you’ll gently map what you felt and noticed during the meditation, giving voice to your body’s wisdom. You can also journal your experience through writing or whatever way makes the most sense to you. You may just want to sit and reflect quietly during this portion.
We’ll close with a warm cup of grounding tea and connection in community.
No experience is needed—just come as you are. This is a space to rest, to feel, and to honor the story your body holds.
