
This 8-week session is for students aged 7
through 9 who have the endurance to swim 20 meters and a solid
understanding of freestyle and backstroke. Additionally, they
should be able to perform a basic dolphin kick and whip kick.
This requires your child to have completed their “New Student
Starter Package,” completed their clothing experience, and have the
following belts: freestyle, backstroke, dolphin kick, and whip kick
(see the swimmer's profile for belts).
These classes will focus on all four swimming strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. We will also develop an understanding of how to share a lane and swim laps with others. This 8-week session is for students aged 10 through 13 who are able to independently and confidently swim-float-swim across the pool and have a working understanding of freestyle and backstroke. This requires your child to have finished the “New Student Starter Package” and have a referral from a SwimGuru coach.
These classes will be focused on introducing the four strokes of swimming: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. We will also develop an understanding of how to share a lane and swim laps with others. Each session will have its own personalized goals and benchmarks to strive toward during the 8 weeks.
