The Jumping Stretching Board is accessible to people of all levels of strength and flexibility due to the broad range of exercise sequences and modifications. The versatility of this equipment makes it popular with many clients and is usually the first piece of specialized equipment added to a GYROTONIC® Studio.

Jumping Stretching Board exercise sequences are composed of full-body, functional exercises, performed in a variety of body positions- kneeling, standing, lying, and sitting. A diverse range of standing exercises improves flexibility, coordination, and functional strength.

ABOUT TAMARA YONEDA:

A native of Northern California, Tamara’s early education was in Art. Her influences include nature and visual, healing, dance & performance arts.

In 1988, while studying healing and movement in San Francisco, she began working as a chiropractic assistant to dance medicine specialist John DeRoy, D.C., founder of White Cloud West, the Bay Area’s premier GYROTONIC® center. Tamara became a student of GYROTONIC® Expansion System innovator Juliu Horvath in 1990, who later promoted her to Master Trainer in 2000.

From 1992-2002, as the Director of White Cloud West in San Francisco, Tamara helped facilitate many new GYROTONIC® studios in the USA. Today she conducts GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Teachers Trainings in California & Hawaii. Her current studio affiliations are EPY Center in California and Wainani Wellness Center in Hawaii. Tamara moved to Hawaii Island in 2002 and in 2020 was invited to join the staff at the Aloha Massage Academy in Kainaliu.

During the apprenticeship period, students must complete 60 “teaching client” hours and a minimum of 30 supervised apprenticeship course hours. Apprentices complete their supervised apprenticeship review course hours under the guidance and supervision of a Gyrotonic Master Trainer either in the form of a six-day Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Course or by re-taking the Gyrotonic Foundation Course.

This 6-day course is required to enter the Gyrotonic Final Certificate Course.

The GYROTONIC® Method Level 1 Final Certification course is the final step in becoming a certified GYROTONIC® Trainer. To take this course, the following pre-requisites must be met:

• Successful completion of Level 1 Pre-training course, Foundations course, and Apprentice Review.

• The Master Trainer overseeing your Supervised Apprentice Review Course must sign and date your Apprentice Log Sheet, including the last page giving “final approval” to take the Final Certificate Course.

• Your Apprentice Log Sheet must show 60 completed teaching hours minimum.

• You must present your Apprentice Log Sheet at registration on the first day of the Final Certificate Course. DO NOT mail the Apprentice Log Sheet!
