Restorative poses are poses of being rather than doing. - Judith Lasater It is well documented that the chronic stress of modern life is making us sick. As the prominent and pioneering Restorative Yoga teacher and author Judith Lasater says, “…the antidote to stress is relaxation. To relax is to rest deeply.” Restorative Yoga is a practice that allows the body to rest deeply in postures fully supported by props. When fully supported, the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation response) is stimulated, and the body can rest at ease letting go of physical and mental tension. When practiced regularly, this can lead to improved sleep, digestion, lower blood pressure as well as relieving stress and anxiety. During this experiential training, you will:
