An immersive, week-long experience designed to prepare dancers for the magic of our annual Nutcracker Suite performance. While required for show participation, dancers may also attend just for the Nutcracker-themed training!

What is The Nutcracker Suite?
The Nutcracker Suite is a magical performance opportunity that brings dancers together to tell the classic holiday tale of Clara and her enchanted journey. This beloved ballet features breathtaking choreography, Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, and dazzling costumes, creating an unforgettable experience for performers and audiences alike
What to Expect:
Weekly Rehearsals: Learn choreography, refine technique, and bring Nutcracker characters to life
Character Development: Embody roles like the Sugar Plum Fairy, Mouse King, and Nutcracker Prince
Storytelling Through Dance: Perform excerpts from the Nutcracker repertoire tailored to each level
The Big Stage Experience: Rehearse and prepare for a full-scale production that showcases every dancer’s hard work
Dancers must meet participation requirements to join the cast, and additional featured roles are available through auditions. Whether stepping on stage for the first time or returning for another season, every performer plays an important part in bringing this holiday tradition to life!
Show Participation Requirements

Open to VOLTA Students Only: Dancers must be enrolled in regular once-a-week Season 9 classes to participate in the Nutcracker Suite
