Mala Making Workshop

A mala is a reminder of mindfulness or your chosen intention that can journey with you by your heart or wrist throughout your day. It can also be used in a meditation practice.

Explore the meditative art of creating your own hand-knotted mala necklace. Participants will explore the history and significance of Japa malas and mantra as a powerful tool for meditation. You will then be guided through a reflective meditation to set your intention and select a mantra before learning how to hand-knot and charge each of your 108 gemstone beads with positive energy. Leave with a beautiful and meaningful mala necklace complete with a wooden guru bead, and a colorful tassel. Your choice of beads: rose quartz ( love, harmony, healing), amethyst (intuition, protection, inner peace) or turquoise (abundance, spiritual growth, wisdom). *Might need to adjust based on availability.

This workshop is 2.5 hours … it may take longer than that to make their Mala, but you are guided to the point you can finish on your own. In addition, you are provided with detailed instruction guides to finish. All materials included (we use authentic gemstone beads).
