This is a four day course run over 2 consecutive weekends.

Saturdays 9am - 5pm
Sundays 9am - 4pm

Vinyasa means ‘Specific movement with breath’. The fluid transition from pose to pose in a well sequenced class but turn the physical practice into a moving meditation.
 
To lead a Vinyasa Flow class involves understanding and bringing together a number of elements such as:
 
- Understanding how different parts of the body relate to each other.
- How the human body moves
- Ujayii breath and how it is used to connect breath and movement
- Pose variations
- Sequencing to work optimally with prana
- Incorporating mudra, bandha and pranayama to create a full practice
- Adapting for the different bodies in class while maintaining fluidity throughout
 
This course is for qualified teachers who would like to understand more about teaching Vinyasa classes for all levels of experience and abilities.
 
The course covers:
 
- Importance of the breath in a Vinyasa class and how to Ujayii Pranayama.
- Different sequencing methods
- Breakdown of poses and how to use variations of poses to allow transitions.
- Ensuring safety during transitions as well as the poses themselves.
- How to structure a Vinyasa class for different levels (beginners, general, advanced)
 
Qualified teachers will receive a certificate of completion. The course takes place over two consecutive weekends. Saturdays are from 9am - 5pm and Sundays are from 9am - 4pm. Please note you must attend all days to receive your certificate. This course counts as further training hours with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
 
A manual is included as part of the course. Please bring a pen and paper to make notes. You may also wish to bring a packed lunch although there are places locally to buy food if you need. Mats and props are provided but feel free to bring your own.

Description

The course will be grounded in Classic yoga postures (asanas), pranayama, meditation and philosophy, offering a profound understanding of the Science of Yoga.
