Adding a tip to an Appointment

After a client has booked an Appointment, a tip can be added for a staff member from the schedule. Tips added this way will appear as a separate line item on the Payroll Details Report on the date the Appointment was scheduled.

To add a tip to an Appointment:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
  3. In the list, click Schedule. You can filter the list by entering Schedule into the Search field.
  4. Click the Appointment to which the client wants to add a tip. You may have to adjust the schedule’s filters and date range to find the Appointment.
  5. Click STORE.
  6. Under Products and Services, enable the Tips category.
  7. Click Add Tip. This will add a tip tool to the shopping cart.
  8. In the tip tool, select the staff member you want to tip from the drop-down list.
  9. In the Amount box, just above the instructor’s name, enter the tip amount.
    • If you have enabled tips for your store, then a Tip box will be visible above the Proceed to Checkout button. If values are entered to both the Tip box and the Amount box, they will be added together. For more information, see Setting up tips for staff members.
  10. Click Proceed to Checkout.
  11. Select each payment method that the client wants to use (e.g., Virtual Terminal, Card Swiper, Cash). In most cases, the total payment is split between the selected payment methods equally, but you can adjust the amounts as required. If you select Gift Cards, you must enter the required code, and the amount on the gift card will be entered automatically.
  12. Click Complete.
