Anniversary email

The anniversary email is a client notification sent annually on the day the client bought their oldest Purchase Option from your business. This notification is sent only to active client types. You can edit the content of this notification, choose to enable or disable this notification for all your clients, and enable or disable this notification for an individual client. Additionally, you can change a client’s anniversary date from their profile to modify when this notification is sent.

NoteIf you want to embed a video in your email template, you must contact your email provider to see if they allow you to send embedded videos in emails.

In this article:

    To edit the anniversary email:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click Setup.
    3. On the Setup menu, click Notifications.
    4. On the Notifications menu, click Client Notifications.
    5. Scroll to Anniversary under the Profile Notifications heading.
    6. Under the EMAIL column, click the Edit button  .
    7. On the Edit Custom Email Templates page, under Setup, configure the following:
      • To send this campaign to only specific client types, set the Send only to specific Client Types option to ON, and then set each client type option to which you want to send the email to ON.
      • To send this campaign to only specific client groups, set the Send only to specific Client Groups option to ON, and then set each client group option to which you want to send the email to ON.
    8. Under Compose Email, configure the email content. For more information, see Automated email template settings.
    9. Under Email Content, enter the body of the email message.
      • For information on how to use variables in the email message, see Email variables.
      • To add an image to the email message:
        1. Copy the URL of the image you want to add. You can only add images that are hosted online.
        2. Under Email Content, right-click where you want to insert the image.
        3. On the context menu, click Image. The Insert/edit image dialog box is displayed.
        4. Next to Source, paste the URL of the image.
        5. Next to Image Description, provide a description of the image. The description will be displayed instead of the image for recipients who prevent their emails from displaying images.
        6. Next to Dimensions, enter the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the image in pixels, if desired. Select the Constrain proportions checkbox if you want the system to maintain the horizontal to vertical proportion when you resize the image. Clear the checkbox if you want to modify the dimensions freely.
        7. Click Ok.
      • To customize the source code of the email template:  
        1. Click the Source code button .
        2. Enter your custom HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code. 
        3. Click Ok.
    10. To activate the anniversary email template, at the top of the page, set the ACTIVATE EMAIL option to ON.
    11. Click SAVE.

    To enable or disable the anniversary email for all clients:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click Setup.
    3. On the Setup menu, click Notifications.
    4. On the Notifications menu, click Client Notifications.
    5. Scroll to Anniversary under the Profile Notifications heading.
    6. In the EMAIL, SMS, and/or PUSH columns, click the associated button below to enable or disable these notifications for all clients. If the button is blue, the notification is enabled for all clients. If the button is gray, the notification is disabled for all clients.

    To turn the anniversary email notification on or off from a client profile:

    1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
    2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
    3. On the side menu, click Profile Details.
    4. Under Communication Settings, click Configure full subscription list. The client’s notifications are displayed.
    5. Under the Profile Notifications heading, select the checkbox next to Anniversary. If the checkbox is selected, the notification is enabled for this client. If the checkbox is cleared, the notification is disabled for this client.
    6. Click Save.

    To change a client’s anniversary date:

    1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
    2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
    3. On the Overview page, hover over the CLIENT SINCE date and click the Edit button .
    4. Click the calendar icon and select the client’s new anniversary date.
    5. Click the Confirm button .
    6. In the confirmation popup, click OK.
