Applying a discount at checkout

Discounts can be applied to purchases at the point of sale. There are several types of discounts that can be applied to items in the client’s shopping cart. Most discounts can only be applied by staff members with store permissions. However, you can provide promotional discount codes to clients for use in the Client Web App. You can apply up to a 100% discount.

NoteWhen using discount code, the discount will only apply to the items to which it is applicable.
NoteIf you manually change the dollar amount of an individual item in the shopping cart, the Discount amount in the shopping cart will not reflect the change that you have made. To apply a discount that will be accounted for on the receipt and in your records, be sure to follow the instructions in this article.

NoteIf you apply a percentage discount to a membership, it will apply to all future payments of the membership. If you apply a dollar value discount to a membership, it will apply only to the first payment.
