, then click Setup > Services > Book-a-Spot.
Understanding Book-a-Spot assets
Book-a-Spot assets are a type of service that lets clients book equipment or spaces at your business. They can be booked individually or reserved as part of a scheduled class, appointment, or event. You can indicate the quantity and availability of your assets, so that clients cannot reserve more than your business provides.
What you can do with assets
Assets are highly customizable and the ways you can use them are only limited by your imagination. Here are some different ways our customers use assets at their businesses:
- Set up appointments to require the use of specific rooms at your business, such as private massage rooms.
- Schedule room rentals for staff members and clients, such as conference rooms or party rooms.
- Automatically reserve and track equipment at your business, such as bikes in your spin classes.
Getting started with assets
Before clients can start booking assets individually or with a service, follow these steps:
- Create the asset and decide whether it should be booked individually or with a service.
- If it can be booked individually:
- Set its working hours so that clients can book it.
- If it’s linked to a service:
- If there are multiple assets that can be reserved, set up an asset layout for the assets in that category.
- Add the assets to the appropriate services so they can be booked.
