Creating or modifying an Appointment Type

You can create Appointment Types to offer specific types of Appointments to your clients through WellnessLiving. Clients can only book Appointments when the associated Appointment Type is activated. Additionally, Purchase Options can only be associated with active Appointment Types. Some examples of Appointment Types are:

  • Hair styling
  • Personal Training
  • Massage

You can also modify an existing Appointment Type to change specific details, such as the description, cost, or location where Appointments of this type are offered. Only Appointments booked after the Appointment Type has been modified will reflect the modifications; Appointments booked before the Appointment Type has been modified will not change.

To create or modify an Appointment Type:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click Setup.
  3. On the Setup menu, click Appointments.
  4. On the Appointments page:
    • To create an Appointment Type, within the category of your choice, click ADD SERVICE.
      • At least one category must exist before you can create an Appointment Type. If no categories are listed, or if you want to create a new category, click ADD CATEGORY, enter a CATEGORY NAME, and then click SAVE.
    • To modify an Appointment Type, hover over the Appointment Type you want to modify and click Edit. You may have to browse or filter the list to find the correct Appointment Type.
  5. Enter or change the details and settings of the Appointment Type. For more information, see Appointment Type general information settings and Appointment Type advanced settings.
  6. Click SAVE.
