Creating or modifying an Appointment Type

You can create, modify, or duplicate different Appointment Types to offer specific Appointment Types to your clients through WellnessLiving. Clients can only book Appointments when the associated Appointment Type is activated. Additionally, Purchase Options can only be associated with active Appointment Types. Some examples of Appointment Types are:

  • Hair styling
  • Personal Training
  • Massage

When you modify an Appointment Type, it may affect Appointments that have already been booked. For example, if an Appointment is booked as unpaid and the price for that Appointment Type is later changed, the client will be charged the new price when they pay for the service. However, changing the duration of an Appointment Type will not affect the duration of any Appointments that have already been booked.

Before you modify an Appointment Type, make sure that the Appointment Change General Information client notification is enabled so that clients who have upcoming Appointments of that type will be notified of the change.

To learn how staff members can book an Appointment for a client, see Booking an Appointment.
