Drop-in rates provide an alternative way for your clients to pay for an individual service booking instead of using a Purchase Option. For example, if a client wants to try one of your classes but doesn’t want to purchase a 6-month membership, they can select the drop-in rate and purchase a single session of the class.
To set up drop-in rates for your services, you must select the option that allows clients to purchase individual sessions in a service’s settings. For more information, see Purchase rules.
When allowing drop-in rates to be used, please keep the following information in mind:
- If a client books a class or event using the drop-in rate and then cancels the session, either the client or a staff member can book another session of the same class type or event instance and the single session will be used to pay for the booking automatically.
- If a client books an appointment using the drop-in rate and then cancels the session, they cannot use the single session to book another appointment, regardless of its type. However, a staff member can use the single session to book another appointment of the same type for the client. For more information, see Rescheduling an appointment using a purchased single session.
- If a client books a Book-a-Spot asset using the drop-in rate and then cancels the session, the single session cannot be used to book another session with the asset and must be refunded. For more information, see FAQ: Why does an asset that was paid for appear to be unpaid on the client’s upcoming schedule?
