FAQ: How do I convert a walk-in client to a new or existing client?

Staff members can convert a walk-in client to a new or existing client from the schedule when booking an appointment or after an appointment has been booked.

To convert a walk-in client to a new client when booking an appointment:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
  3. In the list, click Schedule. You can filter the list by entering Schedule into the Search field.
  4. In the top left corner of the schedule, click +Add, and select Book an Appointment. The booking wizard is displayed.
  5. Under CLIENT(S), click Add Walk-In Client.
  6. Expand the CLIENT(S) field by clicking the downward arrow.
  7. Click Convert to Client.
  8. Enter the client’s information in the appropriate fields.
    • Click Additional Information to display more client information fields.
  9. Click Save Client.
  10. Click Return to Booking to continue with the booking process.

To convert a walk-in client to a new or existing client after booking an appointment:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
  3. In the list, click Schedule. You can filter the list by entering Schedule into the Search field.
  4. In the top left corner of the schedule, click +Add, and select Book an Appointment. The booking wizard is displayed.
  5. Under CLIENT(S), click Add Walk-In Client.
  6. Follow steps 5 to 10 in To book an appointment from the schedule.
  7. After the appointment has been booked, click on the appointment from the schedule, and then click the More button An image of the more button which is three gray dots stacked vertically. .
  8. Convert the walk-in client to a new or existing client. The options are:
    • Convert to new client – Select this option if the walk-in client does not have an existing client profile. Next, enter the client’s information in the appropriate fields, and then click Additional Information to display more fields. Fill out these fields, if required, and then click Create Account.
    • Convert to existing client – Select this option if the walk-in client already has an existing client profile within your business. Next, search for the existing client, and click on the client whom you want to convert. Click CONVERT. The appointment booking is displayed on the existing client’s profile.
