FAQ: Why do I receive the error “You cannot visit any more this week” when my client has active days on their membership?

If you try to book a session or reconcile a client visit using a membership with an attendance restriction during a short period of active days between holds, you may encounter the error “You cannot visit any more this week” even though the membership is listed with available visits remaining. This is because WellnessLiving’s system calculates available visits during the active days in an attendance restriction period by using the following formula and then rounding to the nearest whole number:

Available visits = (Total visits during the attendance restriction period) x (Active days during the attendance restriction period) / (Total days during the attendance restriction period)

  • Total visits — The number of visits available on a Purchase Option during an attendance restriction period.
  • Active days — The number of days that the Purchase Option can be used during the attendance restriction period.
  • Total days — The length of the attendance restriction period in days (e.g., a week-long attendance restriction period would have 7 total days).

For example, a client has a membership with an attendance restriction of 2 visits every 7 days. Two separate holds are placed on the client’s membership, leaving the client with 1 active day during their 7-day attendance restriction period. Therefore, the number of available visits during that 1 active day is calculated as 2x(1/7), and then rounded down to 0 (the nearest whole number).
