Managing a contest

Contests can be created from your leaderboard to track the number of rewards points earned by your clients during a specific period of time. By offering a prize to the winner of your contests, you can incentivize your clients to use your services and make purchases at your online store.

To learn how to reset the points earned during a contest, see Resetting all clients’ rewards points totals.

NoteIf the setting Don’t count points that are spent on prizes is selected for a contest, any rewards points that a client redeems will be subtracted from the rewards points they have earned during the contest. If the number of rewards points that the client redeems is greater than what they have earned during the contest, the client’s total will appear as a negative value on the leaderboard. For example, if a client has earned 50 rewards points during the current contest but spent 100 rewards points they earned from previous activity, their total rewards points on the leaderboard will be -50.
