Managing tasks in the task manager

The task manager organizes short-term and long-term tasks for staff members. You can follow the progress of each task to ensure assigned tasks are completed. Tasks can be edited or deleted. You can change the email, SMS, and/or Push notification settings staff members receive every time a new task is created and assigned to them.

 

In this article:

    To change a task’s status:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
    3. In the list, click Tasks. You can filter the list by entering Tasks into the Search field.
    4. On the Task Manager page, find the task you want to modify. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the task.
    5. In the Status column, click the task’s status and select either Not Started, In Progress, or Completed.

    To modify a task:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
    3. In the list, click Tasks. You can filter the list by entering Tasks into the Search field.
    4. On the Task Manager page, find the task you want to modify. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the task.
    5. In the Task column, click the Edit button .
    6. Make all required changes to the task. For more information, see Adding a task in the task manager.
    7. Click SAVE.

    To delete a task:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
    3. In the list, click Tasks. You can filter the list by entering Tasks into the Search field.
    4. On the Task Manager page, find the task you want to delete. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the task.
    5. In the Task column, click the Edit button .
    6. From the editing task screen, click REMOVE at the bottom of the screen.

    To manage staff notifications for tasks:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
    3. In the list, click Setup. You can filter the list by entering Setup into the Search field.
    4. On the Setup menu, click Notifications.
    5. On the Notifications menu, click Staff Notifications.
    6. Manage staff notifications under Staff Task:
      • To turn email notifications for staff task assignments on or off, click the Email button. If it is blue , the notification will send. If it is grey , the notification is turned off and will not send.
      • To turn SMS notifications for staff task assignments on or off, click the SMS button. If it is blue , the notification will send. If it is grey , the notification is turned off and will not send.
      • To edit what content is sent when the notification is enabled, click the pencil icon . The notification template is displayed. For details about customizing notification templates, see Customizing automated notifications.
