You can sell various types of gift cards to your clients through WellnessLiving. Staff members can redeem gift cards for a client during checkout or from their client profile. After a gift card has been sold to a client, but before it is redeemed, the gift card’s information can be found in the profile of the client who purchased that gift card. When a gift card is used to pay for a purchase, it will be indicated under the NOTE column of a client’s account balance history.

When redeeming with gift cards, keep the following information in mind:
- Only gift cards with set dollar values can be redeemed from the store during checkout. If you want to redeem a gift card with set services and products or QUICK gift card, you must do so from the client’s profile.
- You can’t redeem a gift card or a QUICK gift card containing a Purchase Option that has already expired.
- When a gift card is first redeemed, any remaining balance of the gift card will automatically be applied to the client’s account balance. For this reason, walk-in clients can’t use gift cards as a payment method at your business, since they won’t have a client profile to retain the remaining balance of the gift card that’s been used. To allow a walk-in client to use a gift card as a payment method, you’ll need to add them to your business.

To find a purchased gift card’s redemption code:
- On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button
, and then enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
- In the list of clients displayed, click the name of the client who purchased the gift card.
- On the side menu, click Account.
- On the Account menu, click Passes & Memberships.
- In the list, find the gift card you want to view. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the gift card.
- Under the Action column of the gift card, click the Action button
and select View Details. The gift card, its value, and its redemption number are displayed.
To redeem a gift card with a set dollar value during checkout:
- Complete steps 1-7 in Making a sale.
- Select the Gift Cards payment method.
- In the Enter Gift Card or Voucher Code: box, enter the gift card’s redemption code.
- If you’re redeeming a physical gift card, enter the number from the physical card or scan the card with a barcode scanner to automatically populate the gift card number.
- Only one gift card can be used at checkout. To use multiple gift cards on a single transaction, the gift cards must first be added to the client’s account balance. You can then use the client’s account balance to pay for the transaction.
- Click Complete.
- A receipt can be printed or emailed to the client at this time. For more information, see Printing receipts and Emailing receipts.
To redeem a gift card from a client profile
- On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button
, and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
- In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
- On the side menu, click Account.
- On the Account menu, click Billing & Account Balance.
- Under Daily Deal or Gift Card Redemption Code, enter the gift card’s redemption code.
- If you are redeeming a physical gift card, enter the number from the physical card or scan the card with a barcode scanner to automatically populate the gift card number.
- Click SUBMIT. The gift card code and any associated deal will be applied to the client’s account.
