Redeeming a Groupon deal

Groupon integration allows you to offer Groupon deals to your clients through WellnessLiving. You can redeem a Groupon deal on behalf of a client from their client profile or the schedule. Once a Groupon deal is redeemed, it will be listed on the client’s Passes & Memberships page.

When redeeming Groupon deals, keep the following information in mind:

  • A Groupon deal’s redemption location will be assigned to the client’s home location, regardless of where the client redeems the Groupon. Sales of this Groupon will also be assigned to this location.
  • After a client has redeemed a Groupon deal, you must also sign in to your Groupon account and redeem the deal there using the Redemption Code listed on the Passes & Memberships page.

In this article:

    To redeem a Groupon deal from a client profile:

    1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
    2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
    3. On the side menu, click Account.
    4. On the Account menu, click Billing & Account Balance.
    5. Under Daily Deal or Gift Card Redemption Code, enter the Groupon code.
    6. Click Submit. The Groupon code and any associated deal will be entered and applied to the client’s account.

    To redeem a Groupon deal for a new client from the schedule:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
    3. In the list, click Schedule. You can filter the list by entering Schedule into the Search field.
    4. You can redeem a Groupon deal for an appointment, class, or event:
      • To redeem a Groupon deal for a class or an event:
        1. Click the class or event on the schedule. You may have to adjust the schedule filters or date range to find the class or event.
        2. Click View Attendance List.
        3. Click + NEW CLIENT and enter the new client‘s information in the fields.
        4. Under REDEMPTION CODE, enter the Groupon code.
        5. Click + CREATE & PAY.
        6. At checkout, under Products and Services, search for and select the applicable item, and then click Add to cart.
        7. Click Complete.
      • To redeem a Groupon deal for an appointment:
        1. Click +Add and select Book an Appointment in the list. The booking wizard is displayed. Alternatively, if the schedule is in Calendar view, you can click any available time slot on the schedule to book the appointment.
        2. Under CLIENT(S), click + Add New Client and enter the new client’s information in the fields under GENERAL INFORMATION and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
        3. Under Redemption Code, enter the Groupon code.
        4. Click Save Client.
        5. Under the SERVICE menu, fill out the following:
          • Location – Select the location where the appointment will take place.
          • Service – Select the service that will be provided.
          • Duration – Select the duration of the appointment.
        6. Under DATE & TIME, choose the date and time for the appointment. You can also configure this as a recurring appointment.
        7. Under STAFF, specify if the client has a gender preference for staff members and select the staff member who will provide the service.
        8. Under ASSET, select the asset required for the selected service. For example, a stationary bike.
          • This option will not be displayed if the appointment does not require assets.
        9. Click Book & Pay.
        10. At checkout, under Products and Services, search for and select the applicable item, and then click Add to cart.
        11. Click Complete.
