Purchase Options, products, gift cards, and Events can be placed in one or more store categories. When a store category is selected while browsing your store, the items in that store category are displayed. Items in store categories that are not selected remain hidden. If an item is not placed in a store category, it will automatically be placed in the Unassigned category and only appear when that category is selected.
Items can be placed in multiple categories. For example, if you have an “Add-on” store category and a “Products” store category, you may want to place add-on products in both categories so that they appear when either category is selected. For more information, see Store categories and layout.
To set an item’s store category:
- Click the App Drawer button

- In the App Drawer, click Setup.
- To set an Event’s store category:
- On the Setup menu, click Events.
- To set a Purchase Option, product, or gift card’s store category:
- On the Setup menu, click Store Configuration,
- Click Purchase Options, Products, or Gift Cards, depending on the type of item for which you are setting store category.
- To set an Event’s store category:
- In the list, click the item for which you want to set a store category. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the item.
- In General Options, under Online Store Category, select the store category or categories under which the item should be listed. Categories that are selected will appear in green. Categories that are selected will appear with a checkmark.
- Click SAVE.
