SMS History Report

The SMS History Report is a marketing report that displays a list of all automated marketing campaign SMS messages that were sent to clients during the selected date range. The summary cards at the top of the page provide an overview of the key information in the report.

This article describes how to view the SMS History Report and provides details of the columns that appear in the report. To learn how to customize and filter the report, see Viewing a report.

NoteBusinesses that use SMS notifications are charged monthly for the SMS messages they send between 12:00 a.m. EST on the first day of month and 11:59 p.m. EST on the last day of the month.

    To view the SMS History Report:

    1. Click the App Drawer button .
    2. In the App Drawer, click View All.
    3. In the list, click Reports. You can filter the list by entering Reports into the Search field.
    4. On the Reports menu, click Marketing.
    5. On the Marketing menu, click SMS History. The SMS History Report is displayed.

    Summary cards in the SMS History Report

    Summary cardDescription
    TotalThe total number of SMS messages sent or received during the selected date range.
    InboundThe total number of SMS messages received during the selected date range.
    OutboundThe total amount of SMS messages sent during the selected date range.

    Headings in the SMS History Report

    HeadingDescription
    SMS TypeThe type of SMS message that was sent. The possible types are:

    SentThe date and time that the SMS message was sent on is listed in this column.
    SenderThe staff member who sent the SMS message. If the SMS message was automated by the system, this column will be labeled Automated.If the message was sent from a client to your business, the name, phone number, and profile image of the client is listed in this column. Relevant details about this client, such as pass status, waiver status, contract status, special notes, unpaid visits, and account balance will be noted here by small icons. Hover over any icon to learn more.
    RecipientThe name, phone number, and profile image of the client who received the SMS message. Relevant details about this client, such as pass status, waiver status, contract status, special notes, unpaid visits, and account balance will be noted here by small icons. Hover over any icon to learn more.If the message was sent from a client to your business, the name of your business is listed in this column.
    SMS ChannelThe direction in which the SMS message was sent. The possible channels are:

    • Inbound – The message was sent by a client to your business.
    • Outbound – The message was sent by your business to a client.
    StatusThe status of the SMS message. The possible SMS statuses are:

    • Unopened – The message was delivered and not opened.
    • Sent – The message was delivered.
    • Failed – The message failed to send. Hover over the status to view the reason for failure.
    ResendClick the icon in this column to resend the SMS message to the client’s associated mobile phone number.
    BodyClick the icon in this column to expand a preview of the SMS message that was sent to the client.

    Advanced filters in the SMS History Report

    FilterDescription
    Mail typeUse this filter to determine which SMS messages to include in the report based on which notification type was sent to the client. Only one selection can be made at a time.
    SMS StatusUse this filter to determine which SMS messages to include based on their delivery status.
    SMS ChannelUse this filter to determine which SMS messages to include based on whether they were inbound or outbound.
    Contact TypeUse this filter to determine which SMS messages to include in the report based on which contact type was used to contact the client. The possible contact types are Automated Marketing, Message Center, Client Notifications, Staff Notifications, and Admin Business. If you manually created any contact types, these options will also be available.
