SMS variables

SMS variables can be used within automated notification and marketing SMS messages to add customized details to your message. All variables are enclosed within square brackets. These variables also apply to push notifications.

For example, when you send a customer a Purchase Campaign SMS message, the variables [Firstname], [Type], and [Promotion] can be used. The following template will complete each of these variables as soon as the SMS is generated, creating an SMS message without any human interaction.

SMS messages and push notifications have certain character limitations. For more information, see SMS character limitations.

Each automated marketing campaign type has its own SMS variables. For more information, see Automated marketing campaign types.

You can also send automated marketing emails by using certain email variables. For more information, see Email variables.
