Clients are unable to apply a discount code using the Client Web App. When this action is attempted, the error message “This discount code can be used only in a point of sale” is displayed.
Clients can only apply discount codes themselves if the codes are enabled for online purchases. Review the steps below to resolve this issue:
- Click the App Drawer button .
- In the App Drawer, click Setup.
- On the Setup menu, click Store Configuration.
- On the Store Configuration menu, click Discount Codes.
- In the list, click the discount code you want to modify. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the discount code.
- Under Redemption Rules, set the Clients can redeem this discount code online option to ON.
- Click SAVE CHANGES.
