Troubleshooting: Unwanted preview text keeps appearing in your email campaigns

Problem

The preview text *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* keeps appearing in your email campaigns.

Solution

To resolve the issue, follow the instructions below. If the issue persists after completing these steps, please contact WellnessLiving Support.

If unwanted preview text keeps appearing in your email campaigns, you can remove the preview text message from the email template or remove the preview text HTML code from your WellnessLiving or MailChimp account. For more information, see Connecting and disconnecting a MailChimp account.

    To remove the preview text on WellnessLiving

    1. Log in to your MailChimp account.
    2. Follow steps 1-4 under Access the template HTML code on the MailChimp website.
    3. Copy the HTML code from your email template on MailChimp.
    4. Log in to your WellnessLiving account.
    5. Click the App Drawer button .
    6. In the App Drawer, click Marketing.
    7. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the email template.
    8. Select the email template you want to modify and click Edit this template .
    9. Under Email Content, click Source code and paste the HTML code.
    10. Click Save.
    11. Under Email Content, delete the blank space on top of the email template.
    12. Click SAVE.

    To remove the preview text on MailChimp

    1. Log in to your MailChimp account.
    2. Follow steps 1-7 under In a regular campaign on the MailChimp website.
      • If the Preview text section is left empty, the message *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* will appear on top of the email template.

    To remove the preview text HTML code on WellnessLiving

    1. Log in to your WellnessLiving account.
    2. Click the App Drawer button .
    3. In the App Drawer, click Marketing.
    4. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the email template.
    5. Select the email template you want to modify and click Edit this template .
    6. Under Email Content, click Source code  source code .
    7. Open the search pane by pressing CTRL+F on Windows or CMD+F on Mac OS.
    8. Search *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|*.
    9. Delete all the content starting with <!–*|MC_PREVIEW TEXT_|*–> and ends with <![endif]–>.
    10. Click Save.

    To remove the preview text HTML code on MailChimp

    1. Log in to your MailChimp account.
    2. Follow steps 1-4 under Access the template HTML code on the Mailchimp website.
    3. Under Plain-Text Email, check to see if the message *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* appears on top of the email.
    4. Click HTML Source.
    5. Copy and paste the HTML code into a plain text editor, such as Notepad or TextEdit.
    6. Open the search pane by pressing CTRL+F on Windows or CMD+F on Mac OS.
    7. Search *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|*.
    8. Delete the element that starts with <!–*|MC_PREVIEW TEXT_|*–> and ends with <![endif]–>.
    9. Copy the entire HTML code and paste it into the email template on WellnessLiving.
