This is the most I’ve ever enjoyed working out! A variety of classes and coaches keep me interested and motivated, the community of other members keeps me supported and excited. I really feel like I can complete my goals!
Coach Matt’s own fitness journey began with Krav Maga and Jeet Kune Do. When you take his class, you can expect these influences woven throughout his lesson plan. “I try to incorporate Krav Maga and JKD techniques to give people a taste of something they may not get in another class.”
As a former marching band instructor, he understands the importance of planning and designing engaging classes:
“I try to mix things up as much as I can - I personally hate doing the same thing day after day, week after week, so I try to be as creative as possible in my classes...you’ll rarely see the same class structure on Monday as you do on the Thursday, let alone one Monday to the next.”
He cites the gym community as his inspiration - “I believe that fitness is an ‘it-takes-a-village’ endeavor, and the people that come to work out and better themselves here really inspire me to not only come for workouts outside of the classes I teach, but to make sure the classes I coach are as high quality as I can make them. It's a wonderful positive feedback loop!”
