Karate is a unique art - Although there are many fighting
methods in practice around the world they differ from karate
technically and philosophically. The practice of karate is never
complete!
Karate developed in the Ryuku Islands over the last several hundred
years. The Okinawan bushido (Warriors) we often under circumstances
of which weapons were not available and they were often forced to
face armed opponents empty handed. To meet this challenge karate
was developed.
Okinawa - The main island of the Ryuku chains is located in the
midway between Japan and China for centuries it served as the
convenient stop over for ships traveling between those two
countries.
Karate like that of architecture of misc is something that has been
created by the efforts of thousands of people over the course of
centuries.
