Ricardo has trained and competed internationally, earning titles such as Sao Paulo State Champion, 2 x IBJJF Melbourne International Open Champion, 5 x IBJJF Sydney International Open Champion, The Hyperfly Black Belt invitational champion, Abu Dhabi world trials champion 2016, IBJJF Pan Pacific Championship Black Belt Bronze medalist 2016, 3 x NSW State Champion & Australian Grand Prix Super Fight Winner. Ricardo is a qualified community coach and holds a Cert. IV in Sport Coaching. He is known for his technical knowledge, and can often be found leading additional training sessions for students.
